Free Arts Management Course
Are you new to Nova Scotia and love the arts? Do you want a career in arts management? The Newcomer Choir Association has an Arts Management Course to help you!
Details
Starting September 2024, we offer a 16-week training to teach you about arts management. You will learn in a group of 15 students and meet arts professionals with potential job opportunities.

Halifax, Nova Scotia
Halifax Newcomer Choir
The Halifax Newcomer Choir is the flagship group of the Newcomer Choir Association. Launched in November of 2021, the group has grown to have more than 30 regular members. We have performed around Halifax Regional Municipality.
Details
The Halifax Newcomer Choir meets Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00pm at St. Andrew’s United Church.
Performing
The Halifax Newcomer Choir performs regularly at community events, long term care homes, and churches. To book the choir, please email newcomerchoirhfx@gmail.com.

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Dartmouth Newcomer Choir
The Dartmouth Newcomer Choir is the second group of the Newcomer Choir Association. Launched in September of 2023, the group operates as a partnership with the Alderney Gate Public Library. We look forward to performing with the Halifax Newcomer Choir.

St. John’s Newcomer Choir
The St. John’s Newcomer Choir is the third group of the Newcomer Choir Association. Launched in March of 2024, the group is sponsored by McInnes Cooper, and supports newcomers in the St. John’s area.

The St. John’s Newcomer Choir meets Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30pm at Gower Street United Church.
Performing
The choir will plan to perform in casual settings in the future. For now, come and sing for fun and friendship.
